We have arrive in Berlin! and without incident - just a few tired people. Some were able to sleep on the plane - some not...but all were well and walking at 8:30AM when we landed in Berlin.
We took a vote and decided to visit the Berlin zoo - a beautiful garden-like zoo with many fascinating animals such as Bao Bao the panda. This was a wonderful venue that allowed for freedom for the choir members yet provided a perimeter boundary for peace of mind for the adults. It also kept the kids moving so that they wouldn't nap....a definite challenge with so many sleep deprived choir members.

After a dinner together at the hotel - of delicious goulash, Peter, our tour guide briefed us on the specifics of our trip and managed to keep it short and to the point so that we didn't lose anyone to the land of Nod.

There is a tradition in the choir for the retrieval of misplaced items that are found for return.  The 'loser' must sing a song in front of the rest and then the lost item is returned. One of the adults on the trip was the first unfortunate target...here is his song:

It did not take any encouragement for the 'lights out' 10PM curfew!
